DRC Leopards influential captain, Youssouf Mulumbu will not be part of the DRC squad that will face host Sierra Leone at the TP Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi later today.
His absence was confirmed by the DRC head coach, the West Bromwich instrumental midfielder will be missed by his team.
Mulumbu limped off 21 minutes into his country’s 2-0 defeat at home to the Indomitable Lions in their African Cup of Nations first leg qualifier.
It also reported that the Baggies medical team are waiting for update on his injury as they prepare for Premier League action against Everton this Saturday.
The Baggies midfielder was later seen with an ice pack on his injured leg.
Meanwhile, Leone Stars head Coach Johnny Mckinstry has left out Azerbaijan based midfielders Gibrilla Woobay and Alfred Sankoh for the DRC Leopards encounter.
“Woobay is not part of the plan, and Sankoh was an easy decision after picking up a groin injury against Ivory Coast”.
However, Mckinstry is optimistic that Leone Stars will force a result if they are to increase their Morocco 2015 chances.
