Asante Kotoko spice up tough 2015 draw for Sierra Leone club

* Kamboi Eagles away to Algeria’s ASO Chlef

Sierra Leone clubs will face two sides from 2014 World Cup representatives Algeria and Ghana.

The 2013 league holders East End Lions have been drawn against the illustrious Asante Kotoko of Ghana in the 19th edition of the Orange CAF Champions League 2015 preliminary round of the Champions League, while FA Cup winners Kamboi Eagles will face Algerian darkhorses ASO Chlef in the 12th Orange CAF Confederation Cup.

The Freetown based club are back among the elite for the 2015 CAF competitions will host the Kumasi based giant Ghanaian side in the first leg.

The continental club championships get underway with preliminary round fixtures on the weekend of 13, 14, 15 February with second leg games scheduled for 27, 28 February and 1stMarch 2015.

In the Confederation Cup Kamboi Eagles will be away in Algeria for the CAF Confederation Cup, first leg commencing on 15, 16, 17 May with the second leg matches on 05, 06, 07 June 2015.

A total of 58 clubs entered the Champions League draw with 56 in the Confederations Cup.

Football Sierra Leone understands the one million Kotoko supporters are very satisfied with the draw.
