Sierra Leone international and Former Watford midfielder Al Hassan Bangura is in the running to start for Coventry against Peterborough at the London Road ground this weekend.
Al Bangura started in City’s U21 side defeat to Millwall having signed a short-term deal with the Sky Blues last week as he shown glimpse of his attributes in midfield and Coventry City professional development Coach Dave Hockaday believes there is more to come from him.
He added: “I don’t think he played as well as he can do. There is definitely more to come from him. He gets a lot of touches and keeps it simple, but there were times when they weren’t enough options.
“We didn’t work hard enough to keep the ball in midfield. He did well in the second half, but we couldn’t fashion that chance to work the keeper hard enough.
“It shows where we are at the moment. We’ve got a lot of games coming up in a short space of time so the group will be stretched, but we’ve got to get on with it,” he told the club website.
The Sky Blue is a point adrift of the relegation zone and head Coach Tony Mowbray will be looking to take something away from home.
They lost to Doncaster Rovers in their last League One tie, Rovers came from behind to win 3-1 and keep up their League One play-off hopes against relegation-threatened Coventry.
