Alie Sesay helps Bees claim third away victory

Sierra Leone defender Alie Sesay (Pictured in action) was the provider for the Bees opening goal on Tuesday against Newport County away from home.

Sesay put in a solid performance as Martin Allen’s side claimed just their third away win of the season as they cruised to a 3-0 victory at Newport in Sky Bet League 2.

Barnet got the opener in the ninth minute as Alie Sesay found space down the left and his pull-back was side-footed home by midfielder Yiadom.

Skipper Andy Yiadom gave the Bees an early lead, with Mark Randall and John Akinde adding the other goals as their hosts were beaten on home turf in the league for the first time in 2016.

The 22 -year-old Sierra Leone international that came through the Premier League Leaders Leicester’s academy was signed for 18 months in January.

Barnet FC now 11 points of the drop zone and placed fifteen in the Sky Bet League Two standings, they face York on Saturday.
