FC Kallon head coach Amidu Karim has sealed his first league win and was very impressed with his side’s performance in the controversial Sierra Leone Premier League on Saturday.
The former Leone Stars winger guided his side to a 1-0 over former club Mighty Blackpool at the National Stadium.
The Kallon boys were not all dominating but Kamara was simply brilliant taking his chance in front of goal.
17-year-old striker Gibrilla Kamara scored the only goal in the 8th minutes and Karim was delighted with the quality shown by his side to held on to the victory.
“We are delighted with the concentration against Mighty Blackpool one of the big teams in the country.
“Our team is very young and our chairman Mohamed Kallon is working hard for the boys brighter future,” Karim told footballsierraleone.net
Karim added, “I’m happy to be part of FC Kallon as I wanted to contribute and I must note we’re rebuilding a very talented squad of players – young players, me and the rest of the technical team passing on our experience and the skills to help develop their football.”
FC Kallon have dropped five points in three matches, they’re third behind Bo Rangers and EE Lions respectively.
Meanwhile, Diamond Stars and the ‘May Park boys’ Edwards contest scheduled for Kono was postponed.
