Borussia Dortmund star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will lead out Gabon in this month’s Africa Cup of Nations friendlies against Sierra Leone.

The 26-year-old is expected to help the ‘Panthers’ dominate Leone Stars. The African Best Player of Year on 10 March 2016, scored his 7th goal in the Europa League this season to help Dortmund eliminates North London side Tottenham and advanced to the Europa League quarter-final.

Gabon national team coach Jorge Costa is preparing his side for Sierra Leone’s double header on 25 and 28 slated to be played in Franceville and in Freetown respectively.

The Portuguese coach has included the usual suspect in his squad, with a few well-known names emerging from the list.

The African Best Player of the Year and Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of the players that will be expected to perform and be a leader on the pitch.

Costa unveiled a squad of 23 footballers to experiment his side as they prepare for 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as host nations, which begins in January 2017.
