Bangura’s Dinamo fight back to earn Europa League draw


Umaru Bangura Belarusian side Dinamo Minsk had to come back from behind to salvage a draw away from home against Cherno More at the Ludogorets arena, Razgrad Bulgaria on Thursday.

Cherno More looked to have sealed the victory against their Belarusian counterpart after Matthias Kuryor took advantage of a mistake in the Dynamo defense to put the home team ahead leaving Dinamo’s keeper Gutos helpless.

It was a fast start for the host as Dinamo struggled to control the midfield and were allowing Cherno More space for chances.

However, Dinamo did capitalise from the few mistakes from the Black Sea. Dinamo’s Skipper Syarhey Palitsevich hit them with a sucker-punch equaliser 18 minutes to full time as both sides played a 1-all draw in Bulgaria.

Bangura, the Sierra Leone captain was penalised for a foul on Coureur (Cherno More) and was booked in the 49 minutes.

Elsewhere, Mohamed Bangura misses a penalty for AIK in the 25th minutes to extend their lead, but the Stockholm giant maintain discipline.

AIK defeated FC Shirak 2-0 in a totally cracked meeting at their Tele2 Arena to take a giant step into the next leg.

Shirak ended the match with only eight players after pulling on the three red cards during the second half. 

AIK’s two goals were scored by Henok Goitom who was hailed by fans after the match. 

Bangura and AIK now have the advantage as they take a two goals lead to the next leg in Armenia on Thursday, 23 July. 

The former Celtic striker was on target against VPS of Finland in AIK’s 4-0 home as they advanced 6-2 on aggregate
