Sierra Leone international Kei Kamara continues excellent start for Columbus Crew with another match-winning performance on Sunday night against Didier Drogba’s Montreal Impact at Mapfre Stadium.
Kei Kamara stunned Montreal with another two-goal display and missed a penalty as Columbus Crew advanced to face New York Red Bulls in the Conference double header title race.
It was Kamara’s 11th headed goal and his 24th of the season.
Having lost the first leg 2-1 to Montreal last week, Kei break the deadlock in the fourth minute from a diagonal header, before the visitors reacted with a goal of their own from Dilly Duka in the 40th minute to tied 1-1.
Montreal takes the lead 3-2 on aggregate as they enter the second half.
Kei second goal in the 111th minute was enough to help Columbus Crew beat Montreal Impact 3-1 in front of the exciting home fans.
Ethan Finlay tied the series score at 3-3 on aggregate and gave Columbus a 2-1 lead in the 77th minute to force an extra 30 minutes after both sides scored away goal.
The first leg of the double header between Crew SC and Red Bulls is slated for Columbus on Nov. 22.
