Sullay Kaikai (Pictured in action) has said he is determined to build on his Premier League debut in Crystal Palace’s final day defeat on Sunday to Southampton.
The youngster who took the corner kick from which Jason Puncheon scored told club website after Palace 4-1 defeat: “It was a proud moment for me and my family and everyone else who has supported me so far.
“This is only the start of a journey. There’s a lot I need to learn and a lot I need to take on board, so hopefully I can prove myself and get to the top level.”
Kaikai, who is eligible to play for Sierra Leone maintained his good scoring sequence during his two loan spells at Shrewsbury Town registering 12 goals in 26 appearances.
The 20-year-old striker is a youth product of the Premier League side. He signed his first professional contract with the London club on December 29, 2014.
The former Crawley Town and Cambridge United player also won the Sky bet League One player of the month for March after scoring five goals in five games for Shrewsbury Town.
