David Simbo makes full Krumkachy Minsk debut in defeat

David Simbo (pictured in action) made his full debut as FC Krumkachy Minsk suffered a 1-0 defeat at home in front of the watching home fans against FK Gorodeya on Saturday.

Head coach Oleg Dulub finally hands the Leones Stars defender his debut in matchday six of the Belarusian top flight.

The 26-year-old joined the newly promoted Belarusian top flight side on a one-year deal and has been patiently waiting for first team football.

“Yes, I am disappointed we lose, but it was really important for me to start playing with the first team.

“The fans were amazing; despite our home defeat, I think I tried for the team as I work hard to prove myself in front of our fans after the long wait for my debut.

“I hope the coach is satisfied with my performance and he starts with me again. Simbo told Football Sierra Leone.

The former Al Hilal defender is now facing the prospect of staying in Oleg Dulub’s side as he prepares his team for a difficult away tie taking on Shakhtyor.

The defeat means they will be going into Wednesday’s’ contest in eight positions eight points from six matches and they must avoid another defeat at the Budaŭnik Stadium.
