Sierra Leone will be in Cameroon with a 29 man delegation announced by the Sierra Leone Sports Ministry despite a new row between the Ministry and the Sierra Leone Football Association over coaching staff, Football Sierra Leone understands.

The Sports Ministry, has said that Mensah and his assistant John Sama will be in charge of the team for the four remaining group qualifiers in Yaoundé Cameroon contradicting the Football Association (SLFA) announcement of their own technical team.

Deputy Sports minister Ismail Al Sankoh Conteh told BBC Sport: “We know both Mensah and Sama are qualified and they’ll take us through the remaining matches in the qualifiers.”

“The appointment of these coaches was done by both the ministry and the SLFA, so they just want to confuse themselves.

“We’re not bothered with their appointments. We’ll take our coaches to Cameroon.”

However, Chris Kamara General Secretary of the SLFA claims the SLFA were not part of the decision to appoint Mensah and Sama.

Meanwhile, The SLFA initial press release stated the Ministry recommendation supported was on condition that Atto Mensah, John Sama and Christian Dauda Thompson satisfied the regulations and qualifications as stipulated by CAF and FIFA.

The two bodies have now vowed to take their own coaches to Yaoundé.

Football Stakeholders in the country are now of the opinion that Isha Johansen is not capable if not for the very Sport Minister that supported her race to the presidency.

“The humiliation between the Sports Ministry and the SLFA is now exceeding what was expected, shameful the world is listening and watching the ongoing disagreement between the two bodies”. They said.
