Dumbuya’s Thistle beat Kilmarnock 5-2 to win two straight matches

Partick Thistle leapfrogged Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership,  moving a point above their host after a 5-2 away victory and two points above the relegation zone.

Mustapha Dumbuya’s side took the lead with two early goals from striker Kris Doolan to put the visitors in control at Rugby Park.

Kilmarnock’s Josh Magennis  reduced the two early deficit but Gary Fraser restored the Jags’ two-goal advantage.

Robbie Muirhead scored twice as Thistle move up to ninth.

For the first time the Jags registered two straight victory, they were victorious against Inverness last weekend.

Since they suffered heavy 4-0 defeat to Hearts in October they are undefeated in their last three encounter in November.

Alan Archibald’s side face a tough contest next hosting Motherwell, who are looking to fight their way out from the bottom two.
