Sierra Leone striker Mohamed Bangura (pictured) was on target as he put in a heroic performance for AIK.
The Solna club hammered Finnish side VPS 4-0 to progress to the next stage of the Uefa Europa League.
VPS had held AIK to a 2-2 draw from the first-leg encounter last week, but on Thursday AIK needed to make a strong statement in their quest to lift this season’s Europa league.
Bangura, 25, put his side 2 up in the 54th minutes at their Friends Arena; the former Allsvenskan champions progressed on a 6-2 aggregate.
“I’m happy scoring goals for this club; we’re like a family, the fans are the best for me.
“It’s was a fantastic victory and I’m looking forward to our next outing in this competition,” Bangura told footballsierraleone.net
