Sierra Leone‘s agog fans yesterday admitted that because of prestige and pride Leone Stars must not accept another defeat in DR Congo on Wednesday.

Brima Bangura confessed that too much going on in the football circle in Sierra Leone and the disagreement between the Sierra Leone’s Sport Ministry and the Football Association by naming two set of coaches, after the sacking of Irish-man Johnny McKinstry brought a lot of uncertainty in Leone Stars campaign.

Bangura also reckoned that it will be a disgrace if Leone Stars allowed DRC Leopards to do the double on them as Ivory Coast did.

“Leone Stars must play for prestige and pride against DRC Leopards on Wednesday.

“Two goals scored and eleven conceded losing four from five matches, he admitted Leone Stars poor run of the 2015 Afcon qualifiers.

Talking to Football Sierra Leone, another fan Sulaiman Dumbuya stated: “Financially money is not Leone Stars problem, but the dishonesty between the ministry and the FA.

“The players are underperforming, because the environment is not ideal.

“It is much more difficult to get a result under the present football authorities, both sides not working amicably in the interest of Sierra Leone,” added Dumbuya.

“The first questions you got to ask yourself, are the authorities’ involved really want progress or are they there for self-interest.

Because it is not the first time, a repetition of the same problems between the two institutions.

“There is no rational in the present dilemma in Sierra Leone football.

It obvious we have a small percentage to progress, absolutely everything out of order.

“Maybe their things the populist didn’t know,” said Dumbuya.

Yaya Toure’s Ivory Coast defeated Sierra Leone 5-1 to move back into a qualifying spot in Africa Cup of Nations Group D.
