Football’s world governing body Fifa has decided to take a new approach to ensure that the Sierra Leone FA Congress goes ahead without any impediments.

Few weeks ago a committee was set up at State House by President Ernest Koroma to help find a lasting solution to the ongoing football crisis between Isha Johansen’s led executive committee and leader of aggrieved stakeholders led by Alhaji Unisa Alim Sesay and the Sports ministry.

Most recently, the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Congress was postponed after a row over the eligibility of some of the delegates who were expected to attend.

Is not secret Sierra Leone football is in crisis since Isha Johansen controversially elected unopposed as the Football FA president in 2013 after three other candidates were disqualified from contesting against her.

Over years, the most loving game in Sierra Leone as at today is facing the worst wrangling under the 50-year-old who becomes the second female in football history to head a football Association in the World.

However, this is not the first time Primo Carvaro and Kwesi will be in Sierra Leone, Carvaro was accused by large majority of the football fraternity of wrongdoings during the election that Isha Johansen controversially won.

But this time Sierra Leoneans want lasting peace in football and Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi, who has been hailed by the Kenya’s after mediating talks between the two fighting parties is again part of the FIfa’s delegation to Freetown.

Their visit is expected to last for two days, they will be working with some FA executives and appointed members of the 7-man committee.
