Sierra Leone midfielder Rodney Strasser has opened up on his loan move to NK Zagreb from Italian Serie A club Genoa.
The former AC Milan midfielder becomes the White’s latest acquisition. They were relegated from the Croatian MAXtv Prva Liga, the country’s highest division.
However, the former Lecce player admits he’s looking forward to the new experience in Croatia.
“I’m delighted by the move,” the Sierra Leone international Strasser told footballsierraleone.net
“I’m very happy that I’ve signed here. it’s time to start a new challenge.”
“I wanted to experience something different, something new and something different from Italy.”
“I played with Sime Vrsaljko in Genoa, and I know Stefan Simic – my first time in Croatia I like what I’ve seen in Zagreb.”
Strasser, 25, who is one of Sierra Leone’s highly rated midfielders last signed for third division Italian side ASD Lupa Castelli Romani in the Italian pro league.
The 5 ft 11 1⁄2 in midfielder started his career at FC Kallon and has also had loan spells with Lecce, Parma from AC Milan and Reggina, Livorno, Lupa since his permanent move to Genoa from Milan in 2013.
