Manager Marko Nikolic is set to hand Sierra Leone international Gibrilla Wobay his debut against FC Koper this weekend in the Slovenian top flight (Prva Liga) round 23 in front of the home fans.

Wobay, 31, will wear No 11 jersey for the Slovenia league leaders and was signed on a year-and-half contract until May 30, 2017.

“Wobay is a footballer with extensive international experience and a wealth of football knowledge, I’m sure about his qualities,” Nikolic told club’s website.

Wobay while addressing journalist he said, “When we talk about our wishes, they always associated with laurels; Olimpija Ljubljana city deserves a title after 20 years.

“Sunday’s match will be my first, but have gone through a large number of intensive training and am fully ready if selected.”

The attacking midfield started his career at EE Lions and has had previous spells with Onisilos Sotira where he played 12 matches and scored three goals, Nea Salamis Famagusta FC, Universitatea Craiova in Romania, Aris Limassol, Khazar Lankaran & Al-Masry in Egypt.
