History: Sierra Leone striker Kei Kamara has joined an illustrious list of great Major League Soccer goalscorers to hit 20 goals in a season.
Kei, 31, brace round off a special week in Crew’s 2-1 win at Philadelphia Union on Saturday.
In doing so, he became just the 16th player in the MLS to hit 20 goals.
First, he was part of the Sierra Leone side that played out to a goalless draw against the defending African champions Ivory Coast in Port Harcourt, before making a landmark that sets apart the elite goal-getters in the MLS top flight from the rest.
“It’s really a special week,” Kamara told MLSsoccer.com after the match.
