Former Inter Milan striker and owner of FC Kallon, Mohamed Kallon in photo possibly will be the latest star to join the Indian Super League, Football Sierra Leone understands.
Kallon 34 was Inter Milan 2nd highest scorer during the 2001-02 season played 29 Serie A matches, scoring 9 goals is expected to sign a deal with Pune City FC.
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, Pune City’s Italian coach, Franco Colomba, has already brought in Emanuele Belardi, Bruno Cirillo and Daniele Magliocchetti and is hoping Kallon and Trezeguet will spearhead his attack having worked with Kallon in Italy.
The former Sierra Leone skipper and AS Monaco star is expected to undergo a medical test with the ISL side before the deal is confirmed.
Kallon became the youngest player to ever play for the Leone Stars when he made his senior international debut for Sierra Leone at the age of fifteen in April 1995 against Congo in the 1996 Nations Cup qualifier in Freetown, in which he scored the winner.
At the age of 16, Kallon was the youngest player at the 1996 African Nations cup in South Africa.
He scored one of his country’s two goals as Sierra Leone defeated Burkina Faso 2-1 in their opening group match at the 1996 African Nations Cup, played at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
