Sierra Leone goalkeeper Solomon Zombo Morris will miss their African Nations Cup 2017 opener in Sudan this month after injuring his knee and feeling pain in his right ankle few weeks ago.

“I had a serious knock and am suffering a pain in my right knee and ankle during the later end of the season, I even missed my club final league encounter last weekend, I will definitely not be ready to play,” US Quevilly stopper told Footballsierraleone.net on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old played five qualification matches during the 2015 Afcon qualifiers. He was injured in Ivory Coast that forces him out of Leone Stars final qualifying encounter in DR Congo.
However, having suffered a similar situation in the past, Morris team doctor, Bernard Chaucois want the Sierra Leone stopper to remain rested while waits to see how he improves.
