Despite these are early days in the league the victory was a notable one for the Sierra Leonean international Khalifa Jabbie who was very much involved and delighted with their home victory in the Turkish Super League.
According the Midfielder, Balikesirspor glittering array has just started. “We have the attacking talents and we are looking forward for more of these results.
After losing our first two opening encounters, it was a relief to be in involved in such a massive fixtures in the Turkish league and to come out victorious was glittering, of course Galasatary is a massive club and well known”, Jabbie told Football Sierra Leone.
Head Coach Ismail Ertekin Stated. “For us to beat a team like Galatasaray was a proud moment. The players were very much enthusiastic, but now we need to focus on our next match and it a cup tie against a difficult opponent”.
After the International break with Sierra Leone in the African Nations Cup qualifiers in Ivory Coast and DR Congo, Jabbie was not able to make his club second fixture, when they lost 2-0 away to Konyaspor due to poor travelling arrangement.
The 21-year-old is in full gear for tomorrow when his side take on Balcova away from home in the Turkish League Cup.
