Sierra Leone International, Alhassan Kamara is set for more tests on his lower body injury to determine precisely how long Orebro SK would be forced to cope without him.
The former AIK striker is set to be on a lengthy lay-off after the club confirmed he had suffered “Lower body damage”.
The club announced last month that Kamara would be sidelined for ‘5-8 weeks rather than months’ following an MRI scan on the injury.
However, Kamara, 22, who is hopeful of a quick return reiterated today to www.footballballsierraleone.net “The doctor will conduct further tests in two weeks time to determine the damage and when I will be fit to return to full training. I can’t comment any further,”
Kamara already missed Orebro’s first three Allsvenskan league matches of the season their 1-all draw away to Norrköping and 2 nil defeats to IFK Goteborg and Frankenberg at home and away respectively. Norrköping 1 – 1 Örebro – Örebro 0 – 2 IFK Göteborg – Falkenberg 2 – 0 Örebro.
Any more absence represents a huge blow for head coach Alexander Axén and could leave the coach with limited option to choose from ahead of their next three important matches against GIF Sundsvall, AIK and Hammarby.
Kamara will almost certainly miss next Monday’s home tie taking on Sundsvall, which Orebro must not lose if they are to start claiming the league table.
Orebro’s next three fixtures:
Mon 20/04/15 Örebro 18: 00 GIF Sundsvall
Sun 26/04/15 AIK 16: 30 Örebro
Thu 30/04/15 Örebro 18: 05 Hammarby
