Kamara, who spent last season at Middlesbrough, joined MLS side Columbus Crew despite a successful trial with Kenny Jackett’s Championship side said, “I had been deployed as the central striker and I have really enjoying all the games so far.
“I am personally enjoying working with my team-mates and the system of play. It’s still early in the season,” Kei told Footballsierraleone.net
However, Kei believes that there is not much time to dwell on their 2-1 defeat to New York Red Bulls but rather focus on their next away trip to Vancouver Whitecaps.
“Against Red Bulls it was a hard defeat to take, but it’s all part of building to where we want to be. We learned a lot from the defeat to NYRB. But we must maintain our grip and focus on our next game away to Vancouver this week.”
Kei Kamara completed Columbus Crew first home win of the season in front of the watching home fans, scoring Crew’s second goal and his first of the season against Toronto FC in a 2-0 victory at the Mapfre Stadium.
The Former Kansas City striker will be hoping for a similar attribute on Thursday away to Vancouver Whitecaps at the BC Place stadium.
