Kargbo makes Welling debut with defeat


Former Willem II defensive midfielder Ibrahim Kargbo made his debut for English National league side Welling United when they lost 1-0 at home on Saturday.

Kargbo started the game at Park View Road, a day after completing his move to the bottom-of-the-table side.

The 33-year-old was very impressive despite his side were defeated.

Ross Lafayette scored a second-half winner from the penalty spot to take home maximum points for the visitors.

The defeat at home means Welling United take another step closer to relegation in the National League.

Kargbo, who was excited about helping his new side is unavailable for comment.

Welling United are third from bottom in the English Conference Premier.
