Sierra Leone Coach John Ajina Sesay have left out Kei Kamara and Patrick Bantamoi from his 20-man squad. Newly Columbus Crew acquisition Kei Kamara is the most notable absentee from the squad that will face the Ivory Coast and DRC Leopards Friday November 14 and Wednesday November 19 in Abidjan and Kinshasa respectively.
The 30-year-old striker scored Sierra Leone’s only goal in Abidjan in September but was not in the squad for Cameroons double in October.
“No, I will not make the trip. I was not one of the players called”. Kei told Football Sierra Leone.
Finnish based keeper, Patrick Bantamoi who was in Yaoundé last month also been left out.
He said, “Unfortunately didn’t hear anything. No invitation, being left out of the squad.
“I showed 100 percent commitment and hard work in Cameroon. Playing in Finnish top league.
“To be honest I have never being given a reasonable chance to settle in the team. Bantamoi said.
Injuries to Sierra Leone’s skipper, Umaru ‘Zaingalay’ Bangura and Turkey based Balikesirspor midfielder, Khalifa Jabbie is the major reason both players have not been included in the squad.
However, three local based players have been given the nod FC Johansen duo Kwame Quee and Yeami Dunia and Mighty Blackpool Stopper Ibrahim Bah.
