Columbus Crew’s Kei Kamara continued his great form in pre-season after he scored his third goal for the Black & Gold, as Crew SC played to a 1-1 draw in their second pre-season friendly with Real Salt in the Desert Diamond Cup on Saturday at the Kino Sports Complex Grandstand Field in Tucson, Arizona.
Kamara, 31, is already showing a glimpse of his 26 goals in all competitions he registered last season, the Crew SC forward netted his third, as Columbus drew 1-1 with Real Salt Lake.
The Sierra Leonean header was his typical fashion and has previously scored twice against his former club Kansas City in their 2-2 on Wednesday in the same competition.
Lake’s Jordan Allen gave his side the lead assisted by Emery Welshman in the 17th minutes before Kei’s headed home the equaliser from Waylon Francis cross in the 26th minutes.
The Major League Soccer season will kick-off on March 6 and Columbus Crew will start away to Portland Timbers before hosting the Philadelphia Union on the 13th of March 2016.
