Columbus Crew SC secured their first win of this season with a 3-2 home victory over their visitors New York City FC as they overcome a late red card and a David Villa brace.
Meram was the provider helping Finlay’s first goal in the seventh minute and Kei Kamara’s second in the 49th minute that gave the host a 2-1 lead.
Kamara had seven shots, but only the last one was on goal. Columbus had 15 shots, but only three on target.
