Swedish Superetan club Varbergs BoIS Sporting Director Fredrik Molin has said to the Swedish media that Sierra Leone defender Ibrahim Koroma in photo is very much influential and has done extremely well with the Superetan club.
According to Aftonbladet Sport Molin was reacting to Koroma’s suspension few days after the news was released by the Sierra Leone Football Association over match-fixing allegation.
“Koroma is a complete professional and has done extremely well since his arrival at BoIS,” said Molin.
“Koroma was supposed to have joined up with National squad for their Afcon qualifier, but it turned out that he stayed home in Sweden because of the allegations,” Molin told Aftonbladet Sport.
Koroma 25 was suspended indefinitely with 14 others, the allegations relate to a World Cup qualifier in 2008 against South Africa, which ended goalless.
On Wednesday, both Fredrik Molin and Head Coach Jörgen Wålemark were stunned with the announcement.
Meanwhile, Ibrahim Koroma was not part of the Varbergs side that defeated Husqvarna FF 3-1 last Saturday the same day Leone Stars outclass Seychelles, but is expected to make the BoIS squad that will face Dagerfors IF this weekend.
They are presenting seating fourth in the Superetan table with 26 points.
Ibrahim has made 13 appearances this season for Varbargs and has accounted for two goals.
