Lamin Bangura in fight to save Guinea side

Lamin Bangura’s struggling Santoba side will be seeking to improve on their present poor run of form in their coming fixtures at the weekend if they are to avoid the relegation zone.

In last Saturday’s encounter at the 28 September Stadium, Santoba played to a one all draw yet again against the illustrious Hafia when both sides met for the first time in the season.

Since the former Sierra Leone defender’s appointment in January, they have only registered one win out of seven, four draws, two defeats.

Lamin Bangura in photo took over Santoba from former head Coach Mustapha Sy, who was dismissed after just four matches picking up just two points.

The former Sierra Leone Under-17 national team coach will have to lift his side third from bottom after securing only nine points.

Bangura also played for AS Kaloum, ASEC Mimosa of Ivory Coast and Etoile Sportive Du Shahel of Tunisia and was one-time assistant to former Leone Stars Swedish coach, Lars Olof Mattsson during the national team’s 2014 World Cup and Nations Cup qualifiers.

Bangura guided Diamond Stars to their first Sierra Leone League title for the first time in the club’s history.
