Guinea – Championship 2014/2015 – Former Sierra Leone international Lamin Bangura secured his first win as Santoba boss with a victory over Atlético de Coléah on Saturday at the  September 28 Stadium, Guinea since taking charge of the Guinean side.

The result kept Santoba FC off the bottom, goals from Amadou Oury Keita; Simon Oscar Tahi released the pressure off the former Diamond Stars manager as his side takes maximum point home.

Bangura who guided Diamond Stars to win their first ever Sierra Leone Premier League title in the club’s history is now facing a daunting task of keeping Santoba off relegation – who are third from bottom in the table.

Since appointed as head coach in January 2015 they have only won one match in their last 4 in the Guinean championship, with a statistics of two draws, a defeat, and one win securing five points from a possible Twelve.

Lamin Bangura took over Santoba FC from former Coach Mustapha Sy for the rest of the season who was sacked after a poor start to their campaign – under former head coach Mustapha, Syantoba pick up only 2 points from their last four matches, conceded 5 goals in 2 defeats and 2 draws .

The former Real Republicans defender was one-time assistant to former Leone Stars Swedish coach, Lars Olof Mattsson, during the national team’s 2014 World Cup and Nations Cup qualifiers.
