Former Bolton midfielder Mohamed Medo Kamara scored his first goal of the season for HJK Helsinki to help his new side to a 3-1 0 win over Vaasan Palloseura in Veikkausliiga action on Friday.
Kamara’s goal came in the second half after reacting first to a loose ball just outside the box in the 49th minute’s, before driving a low right-footed shot from outside the penalty area into the bottom corner.
The HJK Helsinki registered their second victory to stay top of the league.
The Sierra Leone international is already proving why he was desperate for first team football by reuniting with his former club.
The 28-year-old departed Bolton Wanderers in January after a mutual agreement was reached.
Kamara skippered Sierra Leone in their first international friendly since the country was declared Ebola-free and was part of the Leone Stars side that defeated Gabon 1-0 in Freetown on Easter Monday.
Helsinki takes on Rops on Thursday away from home.
