Sierra Leone International, Shaka Bangura scored his second goal of the season as Atlanta Silverbacks earned all three points on the road with a 2-1 win over the Carolina Rail Hawks at wake Med Soccer Park
Goals from Shaka Bangura and Jonathan Okafor gave head coach Gary Smith’s first NASL victory of the 2015 campaign.
Bangura 29, who recently resigned for Atlanta Silverbacks, told footballsierraleone.net, “I feel pretty confident going into the next game because am currently in a good form just looking forward to continuing building on it.
“The team has played three 3 games so far and I started in all of them scoring 2 goals and 1 assist,”
“Scoring is the only way for forward to build confidence, and I’m glad to do my part.” he added.
This is Bangura’s second of the season and is now joint top soccer alongside Cosmos’ Leo Fernandes and Carolina’s Nacho Novo.
During his college years, Bangura played with Atlanta FC in the National Premier Soccer League 2008.
In 2014 he appeared in six matches with Atlanta scoring one goal and had one assist
