* New Partick Thistle deal for Sierra Leone right back until 2018

Sierra Leone international right-back Mustapha Dumbuya has signed a contract extension with Partick Thistle which takes him up to May 2018.

The Sierra Leone right full-back moved to Firhill on a one-year deal in the summer after leaving Notts County.

The former Notts County defender has been excellent since joining the Jags in September.

He said: “I’m very pleased” to finally sign his new deal, saying: “I am glad it is over and done with. It dragged on for a couple of weeks, but I knew I wanted to sign.

“Will now focus on helping the team push up the table and see where we finish Come April.” Dumbuya told footballsierraleone.net

Dumbuya, 28, has quickly become an integral part of Archibald’s side in recent weeks making 10 appearances so far this season, scoring once in a 3-0 win over Dundee United.

He was voted the McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month for September.
