Teteh Bangura will not be joining Swedish second tier league club Dalkurd FF after Sporting Director, Adil Kizil declared their interest in the Sierra Leonean striker had “definitely finished”.
Bangura, 26, was impressive during his trials but the club director has said they have decided not to offer the former AIK striker a deal.
“We have chosen not to go on with him. He did it well here whiles on trials, but we are looking for a different type of player,” Dalkurd sporting director, Adil Kizil, said in a message to Swedish-based Dalarnas Tidningar sport.
The 26-year-old has struggled to regain his best form due to cruciate ligament injury he suffered last year.
He last signed a short-term contract with Swedish second tier side Mjallby AIF.
He was impressive during the 2011 season for AIK Allsvenskan scoring 15 goals in 17 appearances for AIK, before joining Bursaspor.
The former Beitar Jerusalem striker has previously played for Köping in Sweden, Bursaspor and Sanlıurfaspor in Turkey.
