Sierra Leone midfielder Tejan Bah has signed for Nyköpings BIS from Hammarby IF on an 18-months contract.
Bah will immediately link up with fellow Sierra Leonean, former FC Johansen skipper Ishmael Jaw-Jaw’ Koroma and the rest of Nyköping squad to continue his trade with the Swedish division 1 Norra side.
Bah at age 17 have played for Konyaspor KIF, he is one of the finest growing youngsters that have never represented Sierra Leone at any level.
He was among the best youth players at the 2014 Gothia Cup, scoring a goal against Newcastle at the world’s largest international youth football tournament in Gothenburg.
“The opportunity was hard to turn down,” said the 19-year-old defensive midfielder.
“I am happy to be here. Now, I have to focus on my development and to improve further in my career with Nyköpings BIS.
“I want to help the team to reach the next level in Sweden,” Bah told footballsierraleone.net after penning his contract.
Bah has been described as a powerful, athletic, yet technical player. The youngster, who turned 19 April 2015, was a regular for the Hammarby FC under 19 and U21 Premier Norra League in Sweden, scoring seven goals from midfield in all competitions.
He is a maturing defensive player with plenty of ability on the ball. No-one disputes his potential in the Hammarby ranks.
