Alhassan Kamara’s outstanding end to the season for Orebro continued as he grabbed his tenth goal to help Orebro to victory against Gefle, it was a perfect cross from Sobra for the Sierra Leone’s striker to equalise with a header at the Strömvallen Gäfle stadium in their Monday night Allsvenskan encounter.
His goal was energetic as Orebro clinched a fantasy away victory as they keep up their top six hopes alive.
Orebro defeats Gefle IF 2-1; the Sierra Leonean was again at his best, turning the match against Gefle causing all sorts of problems for the host defence.
Gäfle fighting for their survival in the Swedish top flight were in front in the 44th minutes Jonas Lantto gave them the lead.
However, just after the break early on in the second-half, there came the turnaround. Kamara’s tenth goal in his last nine matches came in the 59th minute and just two minutes later Marcus Pode gave the visitors the lead.
This was a vital win for Orebro; they have now won five in their last six games in the Allsvenskan.
Orebro 7th in the standings, but a poor evening for Gefle could well mean their hopes for top flights football is damaged with few games to go.
Meanwhile, Kamara prepares to face the Lions of Cameroon twice next month in the African Cup of nation’s qualifiers in Yaoundé at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium when Sierra Leone faces Cameroon.
The Orebro’s Striker will join up with the Sierra Leone squad earlier next week.
