Crystal Palace have recalled promising youngster Sullay Kaikai from his loan spell at League One side Shrewsbury Town due to Palace injury crisis.
Kaikai, 20, is back at Selhurst Park due to several first team players at Palace injured.
He joined the struggling League One side on loan in mid-September 2015 on a four-month loan deal and was expected to stay until January 16, 2016.
Kaikai, who started his career at Palace age fifteen is now seen by Palace boss Alan Pardew as one of the club’s assets.
Manager Micky Mellon said: “We’re disappointed to lose such a talented player, but we have to be grateful for the time we had him because he made a massive impact.
“He’s a great kid and we absolutely wish him well for the future. There’s always a threat that the timing of their return is never ideal, especially when they’ve been so prominent. But we’ve got to move on.”
The youngster is very popular among Town fans, registered five goals in 14 appearances for Micky Mellon’s side, winning the League One fans’ player of the month award for October.
