Rovers sign Sierra Leone winger

Bristol Rovers have confirmed the signing of attacking midfielder Abdul Bell Baggie in photo until the end of the season.

“I’m delighted because it was difficult for me not playing regular week in week out,” said Baggie.

The Sierra Leone winger who is a former England youth international earned a short-term deal after his impressive performances in week long training.

Baggie, 22, was released by League Two side Tranmere Rovers in February, after making over 60 appearances netting five times since his move in 2012.

Baggie started his career at Reading, before spells with Rotherham, Crawley Town, Port Vale, Yeovil, Hayes & Yeading, and Salisbury City.

Baggie made his international debut with Sierra Leone against Cape Verde at the Estadio da Varze in a World Cup qualifier on June 2013.
