Shrewsbury Town on-loan striker Sullay Kaikai has returned to Crystal Palace after the South Norwood-based Premier League club recalled the 20-year-old youngster.
Kaikai was one of the main reasons the Shrews secured their Sky Bet League One status, scoring 12 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions.
Kaikai, who was born in the London Borough of Southwark to parents hailing from Sierra Leone, will miss their final game of the season at Swindon on Sunday.
Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew may include the youngster in the Palace squad for their home match against Stoke.
“We have to say a big thank you to Crystal Palace because he has played a big part in our League One survival.
“I’m pleased that he will now return to Palace and may get the opportunity to be involved in their last few Premier League games.
“His goals have been invaluable but he’s also a great kid and was great to have in and around the place.
“We will now look forward to seeing his progress in the future because he is a lad of great promise,” Town’s manager Mellon told the club’s official website.
The exciting youngster was named the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month for March for his goal scoring attribute.
