Sheriff Suma admits he was delighted to get his name on the score sheet as FK Ravan Klubu drew 3-3 with Sumqayit in their derby contest last Sunday in the Azerbaijan Premier League.
The defender, who signed for Ravan in July 2015, was making his 17th appearance for the Azerbaijan side.
Suma, 29, levels the score line in the 27th with a fantastic header to give his side some breathing space away from home.
“My performance is on peak again after my injury, scoring my first goal was a relief because have not scored since May playing back in Sweden for Syrianska.
“Ramazan Abassov our skipper put it on a plate for me really. It was my first and I’m delighted hope we continue to pick up results,” Suma told footballsierraleone.net.
“Am happy because the team is getting better every game, we didn’t have a good start but after changing our coach we started winning and drew some games, and lose only one.”
FK Ravan Baku are bottom in the Azerbaijan top flight with only two wins from 18 matches amassing 12 points, they face Khazar Lankaran next.
