Sierra Leone FA appoint John Ajina Sesay as head coach


Sierra Leone have named former Old Edwardian midfielder John Ajina Sesay as the new head coach ahead of their Qualifiers against the Indomitable Lions and he is set to take over from Atto Mensah who is also appointed by the Sierra Leone Sport Ministry.

Initial reports are that Atto Mensah and his assistants John Sama will be in charge for the vital African nations Cup qualifiers in Yaoundé this month.

According to a press release dated 3rd October 2014 signed by the General Secretary Chris Kamara. The Sierra Leone Football Association has announced a new technical team that will lead Leone Stars against Cameroon.

“The SLFA would like to inform the general public that after correspondence between the Royal Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) and CAF, Mr Atto Mensah’s UEFA B Diploma does not qualify him as a National Team Head coach”.

List of the new SLFA technical team:
John Jebbor Sherington – The new Technical Director, John Ajina Sesay, Head Coach, Abdulai Kaloga Bah Assistant head Coach, Prince Tamba Moses, Goalkeeper Coach.
