A great piece of individual skill from the left wing by the Algerians with a long direct cross inside the Sierra Leone area beat two defenders for Amokrane to capitalize with a close-range header for his first goal.
The Algerians dominance continues as Sierra Leone threw themselves forward as the try to get back into the tie.
Shortly after play resumed, the host could have made it three nil from open play, thanks to brilliant save from in the Sierra Leone goalkeeper.
The Sierra Leone side performs poorly, they were a much better side against Cameroon in the second round qualifying matches in Yaoundé.
The second leg will be played at the same venue on 25 July. Sierra Leone play all of their home matches away due to the Ebola outbreak in the country.
