Sierra Leone midfielder Michael Lahoud has signed a deal with North American Soccer League side Miami FC from Major League soccer club the Philadelphia Union.
However, the terms of the deal were not disclosed for the 5-foot-8 midfielder.
Since he joined New York Cosmos on loan in January 2016, he has played every minute in Cosmos first seven NASL matches this season.
“We have been informed that the Philadelphia Union have sold the contract rights to Michael Lahoud to Miami FC,” said Cosmos Chief Operating Officer Erik Stover.
“Michael was on loan to us for the 2016 season, but his rights always remained with Philadelphia. We are sorry to see him go. He was a great player and teammate for our club. We wish him best of luck on his new venture.”
Lahoud, 29, is a familiar face to NASL fans, having spent the first part of this season on loan with the New York Cosmos.
“We are happy to have Michael here in Miami,” said Miami FC head coach Alessandro Nesta. “The club is looking to finish the season strong and I think Michael will help us do just that.”
