Sierra Leone have moved three places up to 118th position in the latest edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking released on Thursday, December 3.
The Leone Stars, who are at the bottom of Group I of ongoing 2017 AFCON qualifiers after playing to a goalless draw against the reigning African Champions Ivory Coast, moved up three places from their previous 121 position.
Sierra Leone amasses 295 points from their previous 281.08 points and now 37th in Africa.
This is coming in spite of the fact that the Sierra Leone men’s national team failed to qualify for the just concluded 2018 World Cup qualifiers against a lower opposition Chad.
Belgium, Argentina and Spain make up the top three, with world champions Germany slipping to fourth.
