Sierra Leone winger in search of a new club

Sierra Leone international, Abdulai Bell-Baggie (pictured) has left Bristol Rovers after failing to make an appearance for the club in pursuit of a new challenge.

The 23-year-old signed for the Pirates in March after being released by Tranmere.

Football Sierra Leone understand that the former Tranmere Rovers midfielder is deemed surplus to requirements by manager Darrell Clarke as he prepares his side for life in the Football League.

Speaking to the club’s website, Clarke said: “I wish Abdulai all the best in the future, but it just didn’t work for him here.

“He has a chance now to try and earn himself a contract at another club and we wish him well and thank him for his efforts.”

Bell Baggie is a former England youth international, he made 47 appearances for League Two side Tranmere Rovers since being signed by former boss Ronnie Moore in 2012.

He made his senior debut with Sierra Leone in a 1–0 defeat to Cape Verde at the Estádio da Várzea in a World Cup qualifier on 15 June 2013.
