Sierra Leone and Al Hilal’s defender David Simbo has joined Saudi Arabian club Najran SC penning a one-and-a-half year contract with the Saudi Premier outfit.
The 25-year-old former Might Blackpool defender who in December 2013 signed a two-year agreement with the Sudanese club is the first Sierra Leonean to win the Sudanese Premier League in history.
The terms and condition are undisclosed, but the switch is official Najran SC posted on twitter that “Sierra Leone professional David Simbo arrives at 6 p.m. to King Abdul Aziz airport in Jeddah from Khartoum today Tuesday.”
“Happy to be here, new life new challenge and I’m looking forward to the new season with my new teammates,” Simbo told footballsierraleone.net
The Saudi Arabian football team based in Najran are currently playing in the Saudi Premier League.
They achieved promotion to the Premier League by finishing 2nd in the Saudi First Division during the 2006/07 season.
David Simbo started his career with local club Mighty Blackpool and has also had spells with Motala, Trelleborg, Boden, and Sandviken in Sweden respectively.
