Rodney Strasser and his team-mates must win all their remaining four league fixtures and hope other results favours them if they are to avoid relegation from the Croatian MAXtv Prva Liga.
Since joining NK Zagreb from Italian Serie A club Genoa on loan, the Sierra Leone midfielder has been a regular for his new side making eight appearances but they are first from bottom in a desperate relegation battle.
Strasser, 26, was substituted in the 92nd minutes as they defeated RNK Split 2-0 at home yesterday. Their first victory after six months – they last won 2-0 against Slaven Belupo last November 2015.
Survival is the first priority for the Zagreb-based club. However, the drop is a major possibility if the teams above them continue to grind out results.
