The In-form Cameroon struggled to break down a stubborn Sierra Leone as they played to a goalless draw in Group D. However, Cameroon maintained their unbeaten run in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and still top of the group. The Lions of Cameroon will host Sierra Leone on Wednesday October 15 at the same ground, Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé.

Because of the Ebola outbreak, CAF decided that both matches will be played in Cameroon. So Sierra Leone does not get a home game in this fixture.

The Leone Stars, who lost their first two Group G qualifiers against The Ivory Coast and DRC Leopards last month, have put themselves on the board in the standings if they can take maximum point next Wednesday.

Leicester City’s defender Alie Sesay made his debut a dominance performance alongside skipper Umaru Bangura.

Solomon Zombo Morris makes the best save on the day with a brilliant big right hand to stop the Lions Clinton N’Jie scoring Cameroon opener and take the lead, which was very much impressive from the US Quevilly keeper.

Sierra Leone best chance fell to Alhassan Crespo Kamara a clever flick from Gibrilla Woobay in the 39th: Looks like an opener for the Orebro Alhassan Kamara, but the Orebro striker was not able to beat the post despite beating the Cameroonian keeper.

Sierra Leone Sport Ministry appointed Coach Atto Mensah named the starting eleven for the match but it was John Ajina Sesay the Football Association coach that takes charge of the qualifier first leg.

Volker Finke was forced to make few changes in his starting line-up with Bedimo, Kom start the game instead of Mandjeck. On the other Sierra Leone showed lots of enthusiasm against the young Lions. Despite thrashing the Ivory Coast they still have much to do in establishing themselves in the big stage.

Both Nations will lock horns again on Wednesday at the same stadium and Yaoundé, Cameroon.

Meanwhile, CAF has said there will be no changes to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations schedule dates despite a request from hosts Morocco to postpone.

Morocco’s government wants the Confederation of African Football to delay the 17 January to 8 February event because of the Ebola outbreak.
