Sudan’s Head Coach Mohamed Mazda Abdallah has been handed an opportunity to assess his team with a friendly match against local club side on Tuesday.

Technician Mazda will use the pre-2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers friendly against Hilal El Obayed to identify the winning formula against Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

The Falcons of Jediane are preparing to face Sierra Leone in a Group I clash this Sunday at their 35,000 seater Khartoum Sports Stadium.

Mazda, who was in-charge when the Sudan team featured in the 2013 Afcon, is desperate for a home win.

Prominent Sudanese journalist in the UK, Abdul Musa (@PepJunior1) told footballsierraleone.net on Monday that they are determined to take all three points in Khartoum.

“Yes, of course, this is one of the must-win matches if Sudan is to stand any chances of qualification.

“We all know it’s a tough group especially with only one of CIV, Sudan and Sierra Leone advancing, home games are a must win for Sudan.

Sudan is in Group I of the 2017 AFCON qualifiers alongside Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast and host Gabon.
