Shrewsbury Town and Crystal Place striker Sullay Kaikai (Pictured with award) has been named the Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Month for March.
The award is no surprise to many soccer pundits after the youngster registered five goals from five games after re-joining on loan from Crystal Palace.
Kaikai, who is eligible to play for Sierra Leone maintained his good scoring sequence for Town. His stunning dribble and shot against Port Vale showcased his directness and eye for goal.
Shrewsbury Town manager Micky Mellon said: “I’m absolutely delighted for him, it’s thoroughly deserved – everyone associated with the football club will vouch for that.
“It’s just reward for a fantastic month from a great young player. He’s a talented lad and got a very promising future ahead of him.”
A delighted Kaikai said: “I’m honoured and excited to have won such a prestigious award.
“It’s been a good month for me but also a decent one for the club and hopefully, we can continue to pick up points this month.
“I’m enjoying my time at Shrewsbury and the award is recognition for all the hard work that all of the team has put in.
“The fans have been great to me since I have come back to the club and our aim is to continue to give them football that they can be proud of.”
